RE : Automatically grant -rwxrwxr-- on file creation or upload.
I have a strange situation : I am running a web server
and want my clients to upload files to the server (for their
site that I host), which includes binaries.
Now as and when they upload , they would also like their binaries
to automatically get -rwxrwxr-- permissions.
I tried out all values that umask can have but , because the
default permissions for files are 666 , in no way can I make them
get 776 or say 770 or 774 by default - As soon as a file is created
or as soon as a file is uploaded.
Please guide me on how I can achieve this.
