This seems to be goof-up by the PCQ folk in bundling the wrong
set of libs with their kernel ... They probably customised the
kernel for the PCQ-7.1 release. Compiled from  2.4.2BOOT/ (and
the .o files may vary) ... but kept  /lib/modules/2.4.2/ of RH 
on the actual CD ...

This is the second or third post I am seeing on this issue.

Does'nt the PCQ folk some helpline for situations like this ?
They should be the best folk to approach.

The other option is to recompile kernel from sources ...
