hi list,
i have an HSP 56 Micromodem inbuilt on a Sis
motherboard which came with my Zenith PC. I have
config. the modem in Win. but i am not able to do it
on my Linux distro.(Red Hat 7.2), i had tried to
install pctel's latest tar.gz package but while
inserting the compiled driver files i.e pctel.o and
ptserial.o i am able to insmod pctel.o but not
ptserial.o , it aborts with an error saying
init_module problem, ether I/O prob. or IRQ error, i
even cheked the BIOS settings and made IRQ settings
manual and disabled PNP support in BIOS even then the
prob. persists, please help be urgently.
