The following 2 books helped me a lot:

- Implementing LDAP by Mark Wilcox (Wrox)
- Programming Directory-Enabled Applications with LDAP
  (Techmedia/Macmillan)
- Professional PHP (Wrox) (Has a section on LDAP programming using PHP
  by Deepak Veliath)

All the books can be sourced locally at "Eastern Economy Edition"
rates.

Then figure out how to set up OL Linux. Refer to the following for help:

LDAP Linux HOWTO:
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/LDAP-HOWTO.html

LDAP Implementation HOWTO:
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/LDAP-Implementation-HOWTO/index.html

Once you got the LDAP funda's right, the OL administrators guide should
be easy to follow.

For configuring Postfix for LDAP lookups, see the "sample-ldap.cf" in
etc/postfix.

For courier-imap, see "README.ldap" and "authldap.schema" in the
courier-imap tarball

What do mean by "share"? Use the Linux/OL server for authentication and
lookups?
