Dear.

You can try this.
if u don't have the Linux Startup Disk.

--boot your m/c in win98
--copy two files from dosutils directory of linux cd1
--vmlinuz and loadlin.exe at c:\
--and then goto at real Dos Mode.
--write this at command prompt
-- loadlin vmlinuz root=/dev/hdcx ro
where x is your number of root partition of linux.
--after boot you fire this command as a root
-- #lilo -v
