on your client machine :
vi /etc/printcap
lp:\ #your primary printer name
:sd:/var/spool/lpd/lp:\ # your local spool directory
:mx#0:\ # max print file size
:rm=printserver.example.com:\ # mention your print server
:rp=lp:\ # mention primary name of printer on print server
