( Version RedHat 7.2 )
Hello Friends, I am trying to configure Quota for the users on my Linux box ( Redhat 7.2 ), as my users have directory on 2 places /usr/* and /var/spool/mail/*, now I can understand that I have to made Quota support enable on both the partitions, by editing /etc/fstab, now I have one Question As I have to fix quota only for our subscribers ( we are ISP here ), for their mail boxes and home directory, and all such users ( subscribers ) are put under 1 group "Subscribers", what will happen If i allot quota by group quota command to whole group 'subscribers' will that be applicable for a) accumulated quota for all users of group 'subscriber' or that quota will be applicable b) for all individual memebrs of that group. For example if I define quota for the group subscribers, having 5 members ( soft limit 5 MB, hard limit 10 MB), than will it be cumulative space for 5 users on disk, or will it provide 5 Mb soft limit to each memebr of group subscriber ? Please answer my query, it may be a silly question for many of u !!
