I am using abiword 1.0.1 I always remove the older vertsion and then install the newer version. I first faced this problem when I tried to upgrade the abiword (0.7) that came w/ pcqlinux to 0.9. Ever since then I always do a rpm -e of the older version followed by rpm -ivh of the new version. Abiword rocks, now it can save a file as a MS .doc file as well as a KWord file amongst various other formats. Sharukh. -- Dr. Sharukh K. R.
