We have a net connection, on a cable (Cat5) from the
ISP server. They guaranteed a bandwidth of 5 KBPS. And
now it seems we are getting much less than that.
On their side they are running on windoze and showed
us on some app, that our account is recieving
6 KBPS. In half a minute it shot up to 7 KBPS. This
seems to be the instantaneous speed which does not
reflect the overall bandwidth we should be getting. Or
am i wrong? What we are experiencing is poorer than a
normal dialup.
On our linux gateway how to find out the throughput?
And also to find out the actual bandwidth?
To be frank i myself got a bit confused (after seeing
the ISP app) regarding instant speed and bandwidth.
