(Not really a LIP related post...post on LIH in the future for such
things.)
You need to have the same scan line settings as Windows does.
TO do this you will need to edit your X configuration file's monitors
section.
First run xvidtune and use the tool to shift the display region as
needed. Then click on the 'Show' button to output the modeline.
Copy this mode line over the existing modeline.
Of course, there are multiple modelines for the same resolution (at
different refresh frequencies).
You will have to determine the correct line to replace.
This can be done pretty much easily by checking the X log file
(/var/log/XFree86.0.log or something similar) for the correct line. Sorry,
I do not have access to my machine from work and cannot include a example
to show you.
The refresh frequency number is listed in the modeline immediately after
the resolution
For example like so...
Modeline "1024x768" 101 ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
^^^
The log file will have a similar number for the resolution you are running
X at.
