Hi,

On our email server everything was working fine. From yesterday COM2
started giving problem. Modem is connected to COM2. It dials and after
handshaking it disconnects and in the logs I get this :

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Jun 10 15:14:36 ho kernel: rs_close: bad serial port count; tty->count is
1, state->count is 2
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Than I connected mouse to the COM2 and it works. How is that the same
serial port gives problem for Modem and not for mouse ?

Any ideas ? Is there something in serial ports which is used by modem and
not by mouse ?

I connected the modem to COM1 and it works. No problem.

Peace
