Hi ,
We are trying to setup a linux
box ( rh 7.0) as a firewall.
The diagram shows the curent
network seup.
Lan

Intenet --------Router----Swit
ch---------Firewall
|
|
Servers
a) The servers will be having
external as well as internal
IP.
b) NAT will be enabled on the
firewall for allowing the
internal machines to
acces the inetrnet
norestrictions )
c) Transparent Proxy is setup
using squid, and Ipchains to
redirect the http traffic.
The servers will run certain
applications on specified
ports which are being acessed
thru the internet.
Can anyone sugest - How to
Secure the servers ?
How can it be secured using
ipchains or any other means ?
Do I need to change the rules
in ipchains everytime I
configure a new sevice
on a Server so that it can be
accessed from outside ?
Please help me in the above
matter.
Thank You for you help in
advance.
Warm regards,
Vijay Kumar.
