Hai friends,
when i press "ps -x"
i can get the process list
PID TTY STAT TIME COMMAND
1234 ? Z 0:04 [defunct a.out]
iam trying to kill this process by typing "kill -9 1234"
but the process is not getting killed.
what does STAT flag indicate ?
am i right by guessing Z as a Zombie.
