as of now theres no known modem driver for sm56 pci
running on linux kernels above version 2.4.2 (and
maybe below them too).... anyways heres what you can
do
a> Try getting the 2.4.2 kernel and compiling it and
replacing your newkewrnel with this one
OR
B> Try replacing your modem ...(im planning to go for
the Rockwell chipset and if that dosent,which it
mostly wont!!!, work try an external modem )
anyways if you stumble upon one of those sites where
people keep personally written modem drivers(dont ask
me bout the legal issues:)),,,,you know who to report
to !!! :)
