Use getmail, It doesn't reinject the mails to the local SMTP server but directly delivers it the mail boxes and it doesn't cause mail loops. > --> The SMTP service spawned by svscan(svscanboot) is > runnin perfecto......While i do a tail of the smtpd > logz...i notice that every connection from a client > internally delivers mail to my local box. check the qmail-send logs , qmail-smtpd logs only shows the connection attempts and not the delivery attempts. > But ironically.........this mail doesn't show up > nywhere..........:(. Gotta be somewhere, check the postmaster account , what do you have in your /var/qmail/alias/.qmail* > --> I have the :alias-ppp entry in the virtualdomains > file so that all outgoin mail will be dropped in > /var/qmail/alias/pppdir/new/ Hmnn , Aren't you re injecting your mails to the local SMTP server with fetchmail. This entry causes all the mails to land up in /var/qmail/alias/pppdir/new/ . This includes the mail that you send from MUA's by SMTP as well as the mails re injected by fetchmail. > I am really in a fix.......as the mail just seems to > vanish in thin air....(i know itz not possible)....but > i just cant figure out where the heck the mail is > being ditched..........My local, remote queues r > empty............... Check the above things. Iam pretty sure they mails are in /var/qmail/alias/pppdir/new. If you dont find it there then check the qmail-send logs. cheers dushyanth -- C:\> Bad command or file name!
