Use getmail, It doesn't reinject the mails to the local SMTP server but
directly delivers it the mail boxes and it doesn't cause mail loops.

check the qmail-send logs , qmail-smtpd logs only shows the connection
attempts and not the delivery attempts.

Gotta be somewhere, check the postmaster account , what do you have in
your /var/qmail/alias/.qmail*

Hmnn , Aren't you re injecting your mails to the local SMTP server with
fetchmail. This entry causes all the mails to land up in
/var/qmail/alias/pppdir/new/ . This includes the mail that you send from
MUA's by SMTP as well as the mails re injected by fetchmail.

Check the above things. Iam pretty sure they mails are in
/var/qmail/alias/pppdir/new. If you dont find it there then check the
qmail-send logs.
