Agreed, although I haven't used Quicken, I can say that I haven't found 
gnucash's reports very useful.

But, since you have seen quicken, why not draw up what you think the 
reports should look like, and either code them in yourself, or submit a 
request to the gnucash team.

That's something you can't do with quicken.
