:-P, thanks Dushyanth, it worked like a charm, but no i couldn't find those
options on the man page. maybe it's coz i read the man pages like i browse
through code using "/" to find what i think is relevent, but even a search
for proxy did not yield those options. mine is a RH 7.1 box.
