GMX doesn't accept mails from yahoo.com addresses unless the originating
machine is also part of Yahoo's IP block. This is one of the methods of spam
elimination that they employ. Individual users can choose to disable this, but
I for one, have decided to let it be.
To send to a GMX address from Yahoo, you will have to use either Yahoo's web
interface or use Yahoo's SMTP server. Or browse through GMX web pages (they
removed the English interface long ago) and disable this setting. ;-)
