You are missing the point. Telling people to RTFM is a long standing
tradition. And Binand is a bit more polite than some I could think of.
For example, try asking a series of FAQs on (say) comp.lang.perl.misc ...
> I would be glad, if you could have answered me without all those insults.
And some of us (me included) would be glad if you'd RTFM first, and post
later.
> You might be a champ. I am not. I am into this enviornment only for around 6
> months or so.
Does that stop you from searching google?
> i sit down to google for all that, i will end up not doing my work and only

So you think the rest of us have won a lottery and are gainfully unemployed,
that we can spend all our time answering FAQs which you post on LIH?
Search google some more, if you have any more questions. And at least try to
ask "smart questions". See what Eric S. Raymond has to say about it. (no
URL - google should turn it up ASAP).
> Its easy to insult and mock, and difficult to to be nice and helpful.
It is difficult to be nice and helpful when you have been nice and helpful
about the goddamn same thing about a few hundred times already, on the same
list.

To know the total size of hard disk inclusive of Non-Linux and
non-formatted partitions, as root do:
#echo p | fdisk /dev/hdX 2> /dev/null
(where X is a, b, c etc)
OR #fdisk -l (this will list all drives together)
