The first thing I can think of is incompatible libdb.

You are using sendmail 8.12.5 built with a new berkeley db version, and
trying to build a .db file for this sendmail using an older makemap,
compiled with an older version of berkeley db.

Go to the makemap/ directory in the sendmail source and do an "sh Build
install", then repeat whatever you did.

That should fix it.
