We have a server running RedHat Linux 7.1 version. Suddenly we found that we were not able to telnet to the server. We checked the xinetd. It was running. We tried rebooting the server,but in vain. We even tried upgrading the telnet rpm as mentioned in one of the websites, but even that did not solve our problem. Even telnet 0 fails! We get the following message Connected to sundari. Escape character is '^]'. Connection closed by foreign host. All the services viz ping, ftp and telnet are enabled. Kindly help.
