hmmm, the nameserver lines are all that i need, Also sometime back when i
loaded this beta version of Mandrake, after every connection it would reset
the permissions of the /etc/resolv.conf file. so just as a sidenote, perhaps
ls -l it and make sure you have read permissions for it after adding in the
details as given by Bish. Note that Bish is a guru, i am not. i maybe wrong
about only needing the nameserver entries. my pc has gone kaput and i don't
have the time or energy or money to fix it just now.
