You need to have the correct card driver for the audio module to work fine.
As the card is based on bt848 try using the following lines in
/etc/modules.conf
----------snip-----------
options bttv card=37
options tuner type=5 pal=b
---------snip--------------


card 37 is for pixelview pro card(another bt878), for more details check out
Cardlist in bttv package. There are two typhoon cards listed with values 36
and 53. You can also try these ones also.

I have a typhoon card which is bt848 based. Unfortunately I couldn't get
sound
working on it.. Dunno what to do to find the sound module. I hope
mandrake9.0
helps me here..

It costed me 2400/- in Mumbai.. Has a FM radio too... That's the reason I
bought it..
