Hello ,
  Well i had lot of kernel images.namely for 2.4.18 , RTAI
kernel,RTLinux kernel in the /boot directory.

I am using 7.3 RH.
Well let me explain clearly what i did..

My partition table looked something like this before
/hda1 FAT
/hda5 NTFS
/hda5 Linux Native
/hda6 swap
(This is just my guess how it looked like as far my memory goes
;-
))
I wanted to delete the NTFS partition and make it linux
partition.
So i did fdisk from linux, deleted NTFS and created a partition and
by default it was of type Linux.
Now when i reboot it comes to grub prompt..I have tried many
options loading the linux kernel image but it says file not
found..Did i do something wrong during fdisk ???
