Hello Everybody,

The NIS master is installed on a Sparc m/c on 2.6, all nis clients access
the nis server for their passwords, and other mappings, I presently have a
Suse Linux client which is a client for NIS master server, when I try to log
on to the system after removing it from the network it searches for the
user mappings on the NIS master server, but locally I can log on as root &
then I created a user with a local home directory and then I can su -
<newuser> but I am not able to log in directly with the <newuser> login, can
the nis binding to the NIS server be undone bcos later I can bind it using
ypset, Can anybody enlighten me on alternate steps or the correct method to
go about this.
