Hi guys, I am still having problems with my modem. Also my box shows my architecture as i686 instead of athlon which it should(I think) since I am running it on an Athlon XP 1600+.
So I thought I'll try to recompile my kernel. I reached upto the step 'make bzImage' after doing the make menuconfig and make dep make clean but after the 'make bzImage', I am not able to find my boot image in the '/usr/src/linux-2.4.18-3/arch/i386/boot/' directory. Also the last few line of 'make bzImage' gives some sort of errors like, invalid refernece to sis_malloc etc. If required, I will post the exact error message next time as I forgot to copy the error log onto my WinXP partition. What do I have to do to make my kernel compile properly? Thanks, Prashu. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
