check if you can allocate user specified amount of video RAM. The problem
with DELL bios is that it does not give you that option. This should be
easy to check. Changing BIOS are a bit dicey but can be done. In case you
do have this problem i would suggest getting the memory steal patch and
recompile the Xserver using it.
