Hi listers,
I have a dual boot (win 98/RH7.3) PC(128 MB RAM, 40GB HDD,i815e M/B). I have
a CD in which I have burnt some MP3 Tracks some time back.
It was playing without any trouble in Win and Linux .
But now in Linux , it starts playing an MP3 track, goes on for about 2
minutes, then gets stuck and stops.
I played it from commandline with mpg123 and the following are the error
messages:
"end_request : I/O Error, dev : 16:40 , hdd sector 169232
hdd command error , status =0x51 (Drive ready Seek complete error)
hdd command error = 0x54"

The above 3 lines repeat 2,3 times and then terminates with "bus Error"
Using any other GUI player also the same problem results.

But the same CD is playing in Windows (WinAmp) without any problem.
To check for randomness , I played various tracks with different players, to
no avail.
I am clueless . What could be the problem?
Pl help.
