Hi
I have to setup a Proxy & Firewall server.
I have a Lease Line of 64k.
I have Linux 7.2 (kernel 2.4.7-10)
& a PIII 1.2GHz machine with 256 MB RAM, 40GB HDD
with 2 PCI NIC (8139 chipset).
Is this configuration OK to setup the same?
Which type of setup I have to choose?
a.) SQUID in transparent mode with IPCHAINS
OR
b.) SQUID in transparent mode with IPTABLE / NetFilter
OR
c.) Any thing else, which can serve the purpose
