Dear All, Quarries in IPCHAINS
I have installed squid / IPCHAINS. Following need to be clarify.
1. which protocol is OK in case of port 53(domain) TCP or UDP
under IPCHAINS? I have done with tcp.
2. Should I enable ICMP for all the time or it's create a security
hole in Network?
3. Can we restrict ICMP to any port? Currently I have not mentioned
any port.
4. If we stops the ICMP than how I can use it when we require
ping to other hosts ( On Internet) for checking?
5. Ping to 209.61.156.111 is working but ping to mail.usaplnet.com
is not working from client system. what I have to do to working
the same. However it's working from server.
