Hi listers,

Want to use my ISP's smtp server for sending my mails. i downloaded the smtpmail.el
from this url >>
http://www.pdc.kth.se/~jas/emacs-rfc2554.html
and put it in my lisp path.
i am using - 21.4 (patch 6) "Common Lisp" XEmacs Lucid
Relevant parts of init.el are

(setq send-mail-function 'smtpmail-send-it)
(setq smtpmail-default-smtp-server "ip.add.of.isp")
(setq user-full-name "holysmoke")
(setq user-mail-address "[EMAIL PROTECTED]")
(setq smtpmail-local-domain "skycable.net")
(setq smtpmail-auth-login-username "skycable.net/holysmoke")
(setq smtpmail-debug-info t)
(load-library "smtpmail")

Now i can send mails in my domain, basically i can send to myself but i can't send
mail to outside my domain.

Below is the smtp dialouge, there are no AUTH= commands visible to the naked eye...

220 skycable.skycable.net Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service, Version: 5.0.2195.2966 ready

Inspite of using the relavent options it isn't authenticating.
