Dear Friends,
I was trying to setup a PC for dual booting with win98 and RH7.1.
The machine is having a Celeron CPU with 4.2GB hard disk and 64MB RAM.
I have created a partition of 1.5GB for the win98 have loaded the software there. The
machine is working well with Windows.
Now I started loading the RH7.1. I have selected text mode setup and a custom
installation. Once I select the installation type, the machine is not moving ahead.
From the Ctrl-Alt-F4 screen I found that the following set of errors are repaeting :
<4>hdb: drive not ready for command
<4>hdb: status timed out : status 0x80 {Busy}
<4>hdb: drive not ready for command
<4>hdb: ATAPI reset timed out, status 0x80
<4>ide0: reset timed out, status 0x80
My machine is having an IDE harddisk and an ATAPI CD_ROM.
Any help please ?
