after installing debian woody yesterday, i faced a curious problem. i
wanted to customise runlevel 5 to my own needs, and i was using ksysv
for this. but as soon as i made any (however minor) change to the
startup scripts for that runlevel and switched to that level, all
virtual consoles except tty1 became dysfunctional. ctrl+alt+F# did
nothing. in order to activate console-switching again, i had to change
to some different, untouched runlevel.
has anyone else faced this? what is the solution?
