Hi All ,

Iam trying to install RH6.1 on my old HP Vectra machine.
It does not have the option of booting from a CDROM so i had to make boot floppy from the RedHat CD .... howevere since i have a SCSI CDROM
the installation stops at the second stage i.e. it boots fine from the floppy but it cant read/boot further image files from the SCSI CDROM and hence after booting from the floppy i go in for "expert" mode and it starts loading the initial image off the floppy but after that it tries seeking further from the SCSI CDROM and stops right there.

I know i need to pass some certain parameters at the boot prompt ... but what parameters do i need to pass ? iam using AMD SCSI controller.

Or is there any other solution ?

Regards,
Vipul

I use UNIX for work, Linux for studies and Windows for playing cards.
