I would really appreciate some tips on configuring gnome for optimal
performance. In paricular, how do i get rid of peculiar quirks such as:
1. gnome crashing on startup and displaying a message "unable to load
application xxx: segmentation fault"
2. gnome starting up but saying "desktop is not gnome-compliant" and then
messing up the display
3. gnome going into a hang on attempting to log in after logging out from a
KDE session.
Help will be really appreciated.
OS: Redhat Linux 7.1 (publisher's edition) (kernel 2.4.2-2)
gnome-core libraries 1.2.4
Regards
Pramathesh
