I do think this is a bit overbroad in asking for sponsorship.

Even mails sent individually to a large group of people /may/ be
considered spam.
Unsolicited -- Yes
Bulk -- Probably
Email -- Yes.

As to the feelings expressed in the mail, well, those are of the
original poster. I can understand why he feels so, but I'm on the other
side. /me expects that Indian industry will soon be undercut by cheaper
labour from elsewhere, unless quality improves a lot. I for one, will
not be sorry about that. Work cheaper, or deliver better quality --
market rules.
