partition your hard-disk manually. fdisk/sfdisk is most popular tool for it in linux and comes with almost all installation cd's. but in case you are more familiar with mandrake. insert mandrake cd and partition as you like and restart your comp as soon as formatting is complete. but i will recommend using fdisk or incase you are a complete newbie use cfdisk.
