hi, I have re-built the kernel to support serial console. And using windows hyperterminal to to access my machine. When the machine boots I get all the kernel messages and gets into login prompt. But i am unable to type anything in the login prompt. This is the case if I pass the console=ttyS0 9600xxxxx option to the kernel.
If i dont pass this option I get only the login prompt but not the kernel messages and I am able to type my login name and passwd and enter into the system My question is why I am unable to type in the login prompt if I pass console=xx as option to the kernel. Kindly give me a workaround for this. -Logu ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ linux-india-help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-india-help
