Hello friends,
I have just installed Red Hat Linux 8.0 afresh on my PC. The entire install takes 4.5 GB(complete). Everything is new and good about it. They HAVE provided XMMS-1.2.7 with the distro,GNOME 2.0, KDE 3.0.3. Use the new kernel 2.4.20 and you are in for some blistering performance on the DESKTOP. Also mpg123(I took that from the Mandrake 9.0 CD) works fine on RH 8.0.
BTW I got my CD's from Linuxplaza.org. I am satisfied with their offerings so far. Thanks to those(lvgandhi & upengan78) who recommended that site.

I am now using RedHat 7.3 and I am quite satisfied with that,
I have a friend using RedHat 8.0. I found that RedHat is deviated a lot compromising it to a desktop system.

Due to MP3 licensing problem�s, they didn't include any mp3 players.
I found that it's not worth upgrading to 8.0(may be I am wrong).

Can you give suggestions, right now I have RH8.0 CD's with me, I am planning to upgrade to 8.0.
