Hai,

I was trying to create a Linux installation which will run off a CD, and
which doesn't make use of the FDD or HDD - the idea being able to run Linux
(temporarily) even on a system which doesn't have a HDD or doesn't have
Linux.

I created the requisite kernel, initial ramdisk and the root filesystem+swap
on the Loopback device. The system boots, loads the kernel and the initrd,
creates the loopback device and continues the booting process when it starts
displaying messages that the filesystem is on a read-only device, etc.

Any ideas, suggestions, pointers to overcome this problem?

Cordially

Ajay
