Googling for qmail + ldap + auth should help you.
Several patches around, several quite well documented howtos.
And the usual waste of time that is "patch qmail and recompile" every
time you want to do anything as simple as authentication.
Switch to exim / postfix / sendmail for a far simpler way to do things.
