yea rajesh 

linux can be made to logon to Win NT domain using samba. the advantages
to log into the NT domain is to use the network services (coz once u
logon to NT domain it issues u a token which u can use to access network
services), the other advantage is that the administrator can make to run
some scripts for u, for ex mapping some drive etc.

see smb.conf for detials.
