I have rh 8. The man pages show up with wierd characters. Mainly a '-' (dash) is substituted by an empty square, which impinges on the next character; also there are multiple capital Ds scattered all over the place. This behaviour goes away if I invoke it w/ env LANG=C man xxx. There is a mention of this in the realease notes but I would have thought they would atleast have fixed it for man pages, or are they too deprecated in favor of info pages ?
Is there anything else to be done other than to alias man to 'env LANG=C man' ? Sharukh. -- Dr. Sharukh K. R. Pavri.
