Logon to the machine from where you are accessing "pine"

1 st option
------------
$vi .signature #edit this file with the contents you want.
               #For example: - NF 
               #Save this file and quit vi

$pine  #choose compose option you should be able to see 
       # "-NF" in the message text. 

2nd option 
----------

$pine #choose S (for setup) and C (for config) 
      #Edit the "signature-file" option
      #Specify the name of the file which has your signature 
      #This will override ".signature" which is default.
