Hello I was trying the knoppix 3.1 distribution shipped with first issue of "Linux For You" magazine. It detects i 810 chipset , AC97 onboard sound and I am able to play Audio CDs through XMMS. but, somehow XMMS does not play Mp3 files. Everytime I open an Mp3 file, it asks me to check whether sound is configured and whether correct input / output plugin is selected. After running sound configuration utility, it detects the sound. which input/output plugins are to be selected to enable mp3 play ? (or is it that this distro has no support for Mp3 like RH 8.0 ? though the magazine says I can play Mp3 through XMMS)
