That's the best subject line i could cook up
We share a 255.255.255.192 subnet over different labs. We have our
own nfs/nis server, what I want is to export nfs mount points to a machine
which is going to get its ip from a dhcp server over which we have no
control on
one way, i can think of is to have an initscript on the dhcp machine which
uses ssh to secure login to our nfs/nis server update /etc/exports and re
export. This is kind of a hack, so wondering if there are any standard way
of doing these things.
yeah i know i shouldnt be using nfs/nis, but i guess i'll fight that another
day. Lost a recent one to java (as opposed to c/c++) for real computationally
intensive datamining tool development.
