Hi,

add password option in LILO for single user mode
You also need to change the permissions for lilo.conf as read only and that
to only to root
so that other users can't read this password as this is in plain text

How to for this you can get by googling

Subject: [LIH]not asking password on single user mode

Hi All,

I have installed mandrake linux 8.2

While some one do linux single from the boot prompt, he is
allowed to enter to the system without asking password.

I dont want to block single user mode but I want security
in such a way that whenever user wants to enter to single
user mode, there also he has to supply root's password.

Please advice me how to go about it .

Thanks in advanced.
