Hye... Needed Help...
We Have a Win2K Based Lan in Our Office that is never connected to the Internet. What we are thinking 'bout is having a configuration in the LAN so that by having a Web server engaged in LAN we could connect it by typing the address 'www.MY-Domain.com'. Is it possible to have such kind of arrangement in a LAN that is never connected to the Internet, so that by having a WEB Server, the users think that they are connecting to the Internet, but actually they connect to the Local Web Server. I think we could do this by having a DNS server. I have a box having RH 7.2 with Apache running on it. I have tried having a DNS server by configuring named on it , but could not get it running. Can any one help me with configuration of DNS on Linux so that i could refer the apache web-server running on that box by typing www.my-domain.com from my windows box.
