Heh.  I keep seeing dozens of antique squid proxies (and apache
mod_proxy setups) which are being abused to spam the heck out of my
servers ...

$ telnet lame.open.proxy 80 (or 8080)
CONNECT some.mail.server:25 HTTP/1.1
some.mail.server ESMTP
[start talking smtp]

There's more spam coming through this method than through open relays,
these days.
