Hi.. List of answers i found to ques that i had a few weeks back.. 1. The theme problem i had was solved by updating my kde version from 3.0 to 3.1. Am able to change my themes properly..
2. The initialization of the pcmcia card at boot itself is solved by updating the kernel. My kernel got upgraded from 2.4.19 to 2.4.21 (also by upgrading my mandrake version from 9.0 to 9.1) 3. If you have problems using a USB Harddisk which describes Eagltech as its vendor, then you have to make the following changes to your /usr/src/linux/drivers/usb/storage/unusual_devs.h edit the Eagletech part to make it look like this UNUSUAL_DEV( 0x05e3, 0x0702, 0x0000, 0xffff, "EagleTec", "External Hard Disk", US_SC_SCSI, US_PR_BULK, NULL, US_FL_FIX_INQUIRY | US_FL_START_STOP) go to the following link for further info http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/showdev.php?id=1303 Hth Dhiraj P.S: The above information worked for me.
